I love Christmas, though I'm "Buddhist." I just like the feeling, the warmth and simply the good mood it puts everyone ELSE in. However, this is the first year I am away from home [college frosh] and my parents are like 3.5 hours away. My brother lived in town but he'll be going to the family gathering out of town for Christmas. I'm stuck here because I can't afford to go far and risk being snowed in to come back for work on Monday. My boyfriend is flying out to TX next week. I have nobodyyyyyyyyyyyyy! So, Christmas this year..is, well, depressing. [sigh].

I hate the rush, the fact that most people put on "happy faces" when theyre really not, crabby shoppers, snow, ice, cold, salt, slush, all the other "crap" too. I like halloween better.

I love Christmas, especially this one coming up. I love it eventhough I get really broke. But it's the smiling faces that I enjoy seeing the most. I dont buy shit for my friends tho. Just special love ones. I really dont have a family except my girlfriend, so I drop most of my funds (yes, even the turbo teg funds) for her. Over $1k for her already and I'm not done shopping yet. Since we are gonna spend Christmas together at my house.... just me and her..... we are also cooking and getting a Christmas tree and all that Christmas-sy stuff. What amazes me is $1k is really nothing when buying something for a girlfriend :o.

Duuuuude. Halloween is shitty! It's like, the most non productive holiday evAR! Now that I am a college student, I am only buying presents for my mum, dad, brother, boyfriend and cousin's children, which are like my nephews. I guess it's easier to drop money this year because I can buy each person a super fab gift rather than small gifts to spread amongst 20 people. I got my mum a Louis Vuitton purse yesterday and have still been trying to figure out what to get the "nephews." Anyone have ideas? They're 6 and 8 and I can't buy them clothes, because, well, what boy wants clothes for Christmas!? Seriously, toss ideas around because I need it super badly!

I hate the fact that Christmas has become so commercial and lost so much of its meaning to most people. Now when people think about Christmas they think about presents, red and green, and trees; not the baby Jesus. That kinda depresses me...

I love Xmas, simply b/c I live in SF and don't gotta deal with all the weather crap. Presents I don't really care about, but the food and the two weeks off from school kicks ass.

Well, I like Christmas...but it's never the way I want it to be...maybe it's something for me to do when I actually have my own family to share it with. I don't think I'll be buying gifts...I'm just gonna send cards with sweet words, I guess. I was at church today and they pretty much did a musical thing on the meaning of Christmas...about baby Jesus and everything...it was nice.

Look at the world today, it seems as if everything that once had a meaning and definition in tone, is fading away. If not everything, it's getting there.

Eh, Xmas has lost it's meaning for alot of people. I don't like it because of all the fakeness and hypocrites. (?) Buying presents for family you don't even like and being "happy with goodwill towards others". Yeah right, try that in a parking lot or in the mall/store when you have to deal with rude ass people that have no other consideration than to get their shopping done and you're in their way. No, I don't really care for Xmas.
