Pinging sound when i turn car on and accelerate

Hey all. Need some help. When i turn the car on and start her up, she pings everytime. Its a 97 civic w/ 117k on it. Its been doing this for a while now, 9 months or so, but now i wanna sell the car so i need to get rid of the sound. I put new plugs in a while ago, so i know its not that. What could it be? Rotor? I dunno, any help is very much appreciated. Hopefully its an easy fix. Peace

I don't know. Its hard to tell but it might be. Its sort of a lighter pinging not like really loud but sometimes you can hear it over the radio if its down really low. Thanks, and lets just say it is a metal ping. Whats up....peace thanks

i'd say your car begs for a valve adjustament, but i'd have to hear it to really put my hand on fire that that is the problem

$120 at the dealer, or you can do it on your own.

if its a ticking, then that probably mean valve adjustment. might as well change the cap, rotor, plug wires, and plugs. This way you can say that you just recently did work to it.
