Antenna Problems
I had problems with my old antenna. I have a 88 Prelude. After reading the board, I decided to purchase a new antenna via Ebay. After rewiring and splicing the antenna, the antenna worked properly. After installing and mounting the antenna, the antenna no longer goes up. Also, I lost all my preset stations. In fact after each time I start up the car, I have to preset my stations again. Is it possible I may have blown a fuse? If this is the case, what fuse should I look at? The radio as well as the interior light fuse is fine. Thanks

when you "rewired" did you make good connections and insulate it well? I suppose its possible that you blew a fuse, but you may have other probs. check to make sure you dont have a positive wire touching bare chassis. I never work with antenna motors, so that is suspect also.
You could be cheap and just instal a non power antenna. thats what my friend did in his lude and it looks almost better than stock, I think. |
