Check Engine Light!
Oh boy! A friend of mine has a '92 Honda Prelude. It has an aftermarket performance chip in it with DC Sports intake, DC Sports exhaust and no other mods. The "check engine light" just came on today and he is wondering what it means. Actually, so am I but that is besides the point (lol). It has about 120k on the odometer but it runs well and has been maintained. We are both wondering what has to be done to the car... is it a valve, or sensor that needs to be replaced? HELP, PLEASE!
Thanks all!!!! Cyber |

ok first check thge code, you do that by "jumping" the harness for checking engine.theres 2, 2 prong female sensors behind your cd player, you want the blue one i belive, take a paper clip or wire or some metal thing that you can put an end in each hole, when you do this will your acc power on. you will see the check engine light flash, a short flash is one, a long flash is 10, so 2 shorts and a long is code 12. then goto a book store that sells chiltons manuals, and find your car, look up thye engine codes and bam, you got your problem. if this is confusing jsut let me know, i'll try to answer it better.
