**Ladies** Would you ever date......??
Hey Girls,
I was just wondering if you dated guys that were NOT into cars. Or is it a top priority for him to be into cars? I just broke up with my bf that was not into cars. It didn't bug me at first, but eventually I know it would have. I tried to pick up some of his hobbies but it didn't do me very well. He just didn't see spending all your money on your car. I was like ugh..fine! Whatcha think? Kelly~ |

It would be nice to find a guy who is into cars, but it's not a necessity. I know he would be able to teach me a lot and it's something that we would have a common interest in. If he's not into cars, it wouldn't be a big deal to me. I could share my interest with him and teach him a few things (and I mean just a few, I still have a lot to learn myself), as I'd hope he'd share an interest of his with me. I think it would be hard for me to have a guy who eats, breathes and sleeps cars (no offense to those on here who do). I'd like to know that his interest in cars wouldn't take top priority over our relationship. I like a guy who has many interests, makes for more conversation.

sometimes its nice not to have EVERYTHING in common. That way the two of you can expand eachothers lives.
Look at it this way, as long as there have been cars out there, there have been men who have seen women who weren't into cars when they loved the 4 wheeled machines. Now your telling me that its only a one way street? |

i think it would be really cool to find a girl into cars, but i never tell people anything about my car half until they ask. i like to have people know me, not my car.

It'd be pretty nice to find a girl who shared the same interest as me in cars...that way we could have more in common...and like more of the same things...gotta find me a girl like that...my g/f is into doing her hair and asking me for money so she can get her nails done...

One of my X's was into cars. It didn't get in our way at all. We both enjoy it as a hobby, and left it at that. Not to say we never talked about cars, but the subject came up a lot less than we though. It also helped because if we were both bored, we'd go clean them, or fix something just to take up some time...............thats only if we didn't have anything else to do though.

I dont think it matters really it would be cool to have a guy who knew stuff about cars but Some guys would probably start telling you what you should and shouldnt do with your car and that would get annoying.

Yah I don't NEED a guy that is into cars. I'd prefer that he'd have an interest in them...but if not it's cool. Like Erin said about if he's not it's cool, cuz then I can show him why I am and teach him a thing or 2....and then he can return the education and teach me about something he loves. I can tell ya know though, if it's anything sci-fi, I WON'T be interested in that at all. I just can't do it. But on the other hand I don't want a guy who's way way into cars and talks down to me like I don't have a clue about them.

My ex is a mechanic, oops, technician and he and I worked on cars all the time. My current is a shade tree like me. I've been into cars since I can remember and I just find myself attracted to men that work on and enjoy custom cars. I really like the fact that they have skills with their hands

I'd rather date a guy who's into cars, but if he's not, that's just fine.
My boyfriend is in between. He's kinda into cars, but doesn't really care all that much. |

My b/f is really into cars. I met him at the car show.
we both like same cars, and we argue about what car should look like. I heard stories about him being in a really bad accidents, where he almost died, and he still loves cars and everything about them. And thats why I love him. B/c no matter what happened to him he still loves and always will love this beautiful creatures. ok i got off the topic. if something happened between me and he, and we would brake up, i would most likely look for a guy who loves cars, or at least enjoy them. |

I say who cares who from here you wanna date. If the feeling is mutal between the 2 of you and he treats ya right then go for it. Who the hell are the rest of us to say that you shouldn't date? and if you meant by your question that do we think it's kosher to date someone off the internet and that you so happened to meet them here....same rules apply. It's hard finding decent people lately....and you never know when you're going to find the "one".

I maybe kinda late for this one...
but here it goes.I have dated a guy that wasn't into cars as much as me, but all in all I knew it wouldn't work.I love cars and bikes too much.I knew more stuff and I wanted to learn more, but I couldn't learn anything from him.For the future my guy has to love cars just as much or more than me.I think a couple has to share one love for something together. |
