Anyone try Boba?
I was just wondering if anyone else has ever tried Boba slushy things? I bet Pbateson has. I tried it for the first time today and wasn't too impressed but it was still fun.
We went down to the little AZN section of town and got some Boba. This placed had 150 different flavors but I went with the conservative strawberry variety. Well, it's like a strawberry icee with these little boba balls at the bottom. They don't really have any taste but roughly the consistancy of tapioca. Eventually I got tired of trying to eat it so we were using the straws to shoot balls at each other. I also got cool scroll posters of Initial D, Cowboy Bebop, and some Japanese chick. We heard about a whore house and how to get in. LOL. Got some Pocky, UFO's, and Sake at the grocery store. And mostly, I was JDM for the day So, anybody else know about boba and do you have any flavors to recommend? -Ducky

Oh hell yeah! These things are like soo good! I usually have them with a similar version of a mocha frappachino but I did try the green tea "frappachino" and that was pretty good. I'd just go with what you'd like as a flavor because they don't really have a flavor of their own, more like a big, giant tapioca ball. I have to drive from where I'm at to get one but well worth it. Sometimes it's the little things you need to do to spoil yourself with. Enjoy!

Haven't tried any boobs big enough to qualify as boba.
Oh, you're talking about the other kind of boba. Good stuff. I like taro, mango, and avacado the most. Mmmm tasty. b |

when I was in California my cousins took me took the local asian hangout cafe place that specialized in that Boba shit... I drank about a half of the dirnk before I jsut got plain sick of it. not a fan of little tapioca balls in my drink, but on the side note I got to meet a few of my cousin's really hot friends

Maybe you've heard the boba called pearls. Some places have bubble tea which is basically the same thing.
Of course getting the pearls, or boba, or whatever you want to call them is always optional. b |
