Best air filter for AEM CAI?
So what'll it be? Should I stick with the filter that comes with the CAI, get a K&N, or some other filter?
Looking for which filter provides the best performance overall, both for power and as a filter. b |

The AEM CAI used to come with a K&N cone filter. AEM then claimed to have improved upon the design enough to make a couple more hp. So I'd say that you're fine with the AEM filter.

just stick with what you have. K&N used to supply filters to aem for their cai's. the new aem filters have 5 layers instead of 8 used in the K&N and they claim it's good for 3-4 more hp

But does it filter as well as the K&N? I guess the only way to find that one out would be to believe marketing mojo. Anybody got any independent tests relating to this?
