Sweet mother of crap
I was waiting for this for a long time...and here it is. Not as impressive as I would've liked, but I still love it.

I was a bit disappointed when I saw 400hp...but then read on to see that 400hp is only at 6-7psi. I'd love to see what happens when you crank it up to 10 or 12psi. I mean geez...the blower has more displacement than an H22 (blower displaces 2.3L). There's a ton more power there.

The second best, actually. They scrapped the 1963 Mustang I concept. That thing was hideous.

i herd they are heavy and slow... the 300hp GT runs about a 15 flat from what people have been reporting back from the track

I would guess that's a V6. I mean it's within 1% of the old Mustang's weight, it's got more power, and it has much better weight distribution. The only stats I could find for the regular GT (not Saleen) were 5.2 0-60 and 13.2 0-100. Of course that's Car & Driver so the actual capabilities of the car are probably a bit more than that.

The sad thing is that since Saleen is legally it's own manufacturing entity they could do that. They haven't really built a completely balls-out Mustang since the '95 SR (600hp Vortech blown 351). Now I'm taking bets on what the '06 Cobra will be packing. My guess is some variation of the 5.0L "cammer" engine that has gotten so much hype and has been used on 0 production cars. The cammer motor in the Mustang GT-R concept put down 440hp from an N/A setup. I'd love to see them go big power N/A so all those Corvette bitches would shut the fuck up.
