HELP!! my powersteering has a mind of its own..
i recently installed powersteering in my 93 hatch.. the pump is off a ex and the rack and pinion of off a civic too... as you know, the rack has 3 lines coming out from it.. one is the inlet and the other two are the return lines back to the resivior..
what i did was cap off the smaller line at the rack for convience reasons.. problem is now that when i'm stopped at a light or every so often, the steering wheel suddenly turns hard right all the way till it can't turn anymore... i found this very shocking and a very dangerous problem so after the incident i took off the belt. haven't dared to put it back on since.. hopefully when it gets warmer.. i'm gonna reconnect the 3rd line and refill the system with new fluid and see if the problem still exists.. if so,i'm screwed.. does any one here ever experience this sympton?? maybe i should go consult a honda mech... help!! thanks.. |

i dunno about your problem, but my car used to do it with some stuck brake pads. it will go quarter turn. I guess you need to connect the 3rd hose
