Cheap mods!

Ever went so low that you made your own parts cause you can't afford the real thing? I just wanna know what other people do to their accords.

i couldn't buy those colored interior bulbs, so i used "colored reynolds wrap" inside of the ceiling lamp cover and put it back. i didn't put it on the bulb, it gets hot and it melts. it melted a little, but the car is still blue at night! looks good to me, and cost me nothing! ^_^

Hi!
Welcome to HS.

The only homemade thing I have on my car is the mesh grill. The reason why I didnt buy one, was because I would have had to cut the black unpainted plastic things that are there (where the grill goes). I didnt feel like cutting them so I went the hard route.
After many hours and many more wounds, I made a decent grill.

I'm gonna have to make another on though, cas when I had my car rust proofed they sprayed stuff on the grill..

Oh well, the next one will be even better.

Grills are cool, though I don't have one, but anything other than that, I wouldn't go homemade on it. I just save up until I can get a quality product.

I totally agree.
I wouldnt want to fall into the rice pitt!

But trust me, the grill I made is fit & finished to perfection. Not anymore though, cause of those rust proofing idiots.
