I have the greddy on my car and no experience with the apex kit. I know the greddy kit is a lot cheaper and I am totally satisfied with mine. The installation was simple and the power difference is insane. I believe the apexi kit might include an intercooler, even though ordering the greddy kit 1650$ and the greddy intercooler 650$ still puts you under the price for the apex kit.

A chip alone isn't going to increase horsepower all that much. It will give some gains, but without a cam, exhaust and intake it won't really provide any major gains. What does skunk claim the chip adds?

i'm not a big fan of prefromance chips. the only thing it does is pretty much change your A/F ratio and possibly get rid of your rev limiter. i'd rather get an AFC to change my A/F ratio......
The APEX kit is nice and a lot of goodies come with it. i still prefer the GReddy overall on any SOHC platform. |

I think Greddy Kit is the best kit for the price. The Apex kit is a nice turbo kit. It comes with a ball bearing turbo. The intercooler is not included in the kit if I remember correctly. But i have to say.. It does look pretty.... I guess it all depends on what your goals are. If you want to spend the least of money then I recommend getting the Greddy Kit. You will love it. IF you have money to spare and want more in the future, get the APEX... That Ball bearing turbo is pretty nice. |
