ACT clutch problems...

I was just reading about ACT clutch problems somewhere else on the net, so I thought I'd ask about mine.

I get minor shuddering going into 1st, 2nd, and sometimes 3rd, mostly when I'm accelerating slowly and shifting slowly. I'm not too worried about that yet. The bigger problem is that it squeals loudly when I engage gears, especially when its cold. The harder I engage, louder the squeak. Could this be a bearing problem? Anything serious? Its an ACT organic disc and HD pressure plate.

hmmm I would think it's the bearing....Or at least sounds like. As for the other ws the flywheel turned when the new Act clutch was installed? Could have some hot spots on the flywheel causing it to shudder like that....

I had it done by the local dealer and they claim (and I paid) for a flywheel resurface...

Well I have about 20k on this clutch... sucks to have problems already. I don't even drive that hard on a regular basis. If I have to have that sucker taken apart, I'm getting a flywheel at the same time...

Stefan, can you get those ACT 12-13 lb flywheels? Just thinking about it. I don't want anything ultra light...
