I'm not familiar with electronics in relation to vehicles, but, you need the GSR code? or what?

The stock radio has a security device on it with a special code you have to punch in if you ever take it out and put it back in a car. My cousin had this problem with his GSR when he was trying to sell it and had put the stock head unit back in and it wouldn't work till he got the code from the person that sold him the car..

Oh, I thought they all might've had the same number..so I can give you MY code. lol. Anyhow, now that I know all the GSRs don't, if you have the deck on you and can PM me the Serial number, I can call it in for you because I know some people at Honda/Acura. I do know though, that sometimes they don't give the number out unless you have proof of purchase, due to many fraudulent acts. The serial number should be right on top of the deck in white print. Try calling them with VIN# or Serial# and if that doesn't work, maybe I can help ya.

I'm not exactly sure how the code thing works, but I don't think Honda/Acura would have that info. It was to my understanding that the people that bought the car set the code, because they had written it down in the owner's manual with my cousin's car..

It seems to make sense that the VIN or Serial number would give further details. Anyway, it's always worth a shot.

I have a honda tape player right now oh joy. I have to punch in this code all the time. We've lost it a few times but the Honda dealer always gives it to you if you call them. a number to give them should be on the cd player?

Chris: SOrry I haven't responded to you, man. I haven't been here in like 3 days, I'm kind of in a rush so can't remember if your PM had the Serial number or not, but go again and PM me with it and i'll let ya know if I got any good news tomorrow.
