it's not too bad, just make sure he builds up the motor to back up that look.

are u going for the look or the performance? if u are planning to go fast or autox u shouldnot get a body kit cuz it only adds weight to ur car. i m using the buddy club body kit for my 00 civic ex right now and i hate it(since i m more toward racing, not showing), but it certainly looks good though! actually, i think jdm style is the most appropriate form for both show and go.
...it is just my opinion.. of course there are some kits not only look good but also adds aero dynamic to ur car(such as mugen), but they r too expensive(like the new kit for the acura rsx--$2000~$3000!!!!!!!). |

I personally like it. I wouldn't mind having one on my civic!

ive seen that on a few civics and accords and for me personally...its too agressive. i also dont like how the edges look so wafer-like. i also wouldn't call it rice. rice= 1.tacky 2.looks fast but is actually slow. you definitely wouldnt be violating def. #1 but unless you have the dohc vtec in there you may be violating #2.

bodykit only adds weight?
my C-West front bumper weighed less than stock. care to elaborate on how you came to your conclusion, 00EX5? |

well i dig it, but i agree that you would need the shit under the hood to back it up, as monkut said. I have seen some more aggresive ones and i dig that one a good bit. Guess i havent been looking hard enough or there aren't any kits like that in my area.

I've seen that front end or a similar one on a mustang at my school. I personally think its too wild. But then again I like modest front ends. jdm stuff always looks nice, but I'm sure it'll cost an arm and a leg. an unpainted jdm front end conversion for my car car is about 600+ shipping.
but hey, do what you like man. |

i guess i'll be the first to say i think that kit is complete rice... it ruins the look of a prelude IMO

That is the exact same kit that i was gonna use when i put my "modification hit list" into action. Where did you see it at? I saw it just tonight in the new Import Tuner mag. I fell instantly inlove with it... Where did he see this at? I would tell him to get it because i love that look!! Love the aggresiveness!!

hehe I think its funny when people talk about how agressive the car looks. Its like ERRRRRRR Im agressive ERRRR watch outim gonna get ya. hehe The kits nice but i personally ldont like the fron bumper the skirts and rear of that kit are nice though. I like hte xenon body kits well at least for my car. They leave bumpers alone just replacing my front lip rear valance and skirts. Summer of 2003 I hope *fingers crossed*

oh no a wing! rice! wings are for show unless you are going extremely fast dragging, it has no purpose cept for show. just like a body kit. personally the body kit makes the prelude look pretty sick. you should go for it. and i think the wing complements it nicely. just watch the dips. and if you have your car lowered more than 2 inches, you might want to put stock springs back in, or sell the 2 inches and get a 1 inch job. because i guarantee you will destroy the integrity of the front bumper unless you go the route of poly urethane. which is expensive. but seeing as how thats the most critical part, you could get urethane front bumper, and fiberglass side skirts/rear bumper. that would work well

i actally heard that wings when going fast enough will lower the front end of the car, but it was like a certain type. but hey i could be wrong, i dont have one on my car so i dont know.
