Does it count if the other guy can't drive?
Coming home last night, stuck at a light by univision (tv company). This mexi rolls up in a late 80's teg (the square ones), 5" tach, indiglo guages, alteza's, stock rims, no body kit, gt spoiler. So i rev at him, he didn't hear me, damn no exhaust. so light turns green, i pull, take the corner, by then he's figured out what's going on. I let up and let him start to catch me, then as he's coming up quick I drop gears and start to get up to speed. hit 4th at about 80, dropped into 5th at about 100, carving through midnight freeway traffic at 120. Then he makes a stupid cut and boxes himself in, i slowed down but he just couldn't keep up...
NOT A KILL, Just proof that some peeps can't drive. I did however get smoked by a newer MR2 the other day. I knew i couldn't keep up but wanted to see an MR2 hit 120, and it did, and quicker. F**ker put on his flashers to show he burnt me, got mee steaming like a mother #$@#*r.

120 is usually where you determine the boys from the men, most peeps stop at 100-110. If you smoke me at 120, then you're the SHIAT!!

thats your cars terminal velocity, your areodynamics and air intake and the engine just cant generate enough power to get you going any faster.... im REALLY supprised your car can even do that. seriously it should take you a while to max out.

tested it tonight... after 90 it takes about 60 seconds... so that's like almost 2 miles... lol. That's really sad when you think about it, but then again, it's a 89' civic HB.

maybe you missed the accident on the 110 where the guy in the gst killed 5 people racing a teg? What mods do you have done to your suspension and brakes? You don't even know what you have done to your motor, how can you be expected to drive your car intelligently at 100+mph? And don't use the 89 civic excuse for not going fast, check out all the crx's out there in your year.

Gosh silver.. I'm sorry. At 100+ it's not to safe. I don't try to take many lane changes or curves at that speed. As for the suspension & brakes, I have not done much but plan to do some things soon. I have a teg rear end so that i can have rear disk brakes. Besides that I need to lower it and add the rear sway bar. I also have strut bars/ties for front and rear, top and bottom.

I wasn't trying to hate on you, just trying to drop a little knowledge and hope you don't kill yourself having fun, though it is recommended you find a place where there aren't a lot of people. I am guilty of doing the same thing, just with a much faster car. But at least I put the car together for the purpose of driving it that fast. Remember what you're driving and don't over do it.

Tru that... I do drive it quite hard. I'm working on the brakes, suspension, and cooling right now. the things that are always over looked. No sense in going 100 if you can't stop from 100...

60 seconds? damn... how can you race for that long to get upto 120? from 90-120.. im guessing it would be betweet 17-25 seconds for me. and for carving in and out of traffic... you will die in your car, i hate to say it, but thats just plain stupid, and i hope you learn before something horrible happens

Yes, be careful. I street race just about every weekend, but we find a country road that is straight and deserted. The only thing that we need to worry about are deer running in front of us when were doing 100mph. We also only live one 1/4 mile at a time, much safer. Nothing to prove by going 120+mph, its how fast you get to the 1/4 mile that impresses people.

Kinda hard to remember now but im thinkin 5.5 sec. Oh, i didnt use the Nitrous shot, didnt have it then. The main reason you will hardly ever see a quick 2.5L is because most forget to do the most important upgrades, and that is piggyback computers!! Little bolt-ons will never get you anywhere until you modify your ecu. Bolt-ons can only do so much, your ecu controls everything. I usually run mid to high 14's, that was a luck run if you ask me(the 14.4). I know it runs good because i havnt gotten beat by a 5.0 yet. Of course the ones i raced had 50,000 miles + on them. Im hoping to hit high 13's this spring w/ the shot.

NOOOOO! YOUR 60 FOOT TIME ON YOUR TIMESLIP AT THE TRACK!!!!!... not your 0-60... btw your 0-60 is like .7 off too... DUDE A COMPUTER ONLY DOES SO MUCH ON A NATURALLY ASPIRATED CAR!! I WORKED FOR KEY LINCOLN MERCURY in bridgeport and those duratecs dont respond ****ing 1.2-1.4 seconds in the 1/4 mile with a ****ing ecu your crazy! your mph is just insane without nos, it defies the laws of physics itself to do 103.2 mph in a car with like 165FWHP in a raceweight of 2900-3000lbs.. my car has roughly 230rwhp and a raceweight of 2778lbs and i only do 104.11mph and there is no way from a roll anything less than a 9psi charged 2.5 cougar would HANG with my car from a roll.... the flag is up in full effect on this MPH... your e/t might even be 14.4 but no ****ing way your doing 103.2mph.... WHATS YOUR 60FT TIME ON YOUR TIMESLIP!

Well the guy drives a ford and he's posting in the honda forums. I don't mean to be rude or start a fight, and I know I don't know my shit about cars as much as some others do. But shit, if I post something that doesn't make sense, then ask. Don't just start twisting the words around and making fun.
