Relocate Cd receiver

Well I'm looking to buy a monitor for my car and I would like to put it where my receiver is because it will fit with minor customizing. Well now comes an issue of where could I relocate my cd player. I was thinking that me and my friend could make a custom fiberglass piece to fit where my cigarette lighter and ashtray currently sits. I want to know if anyone has any suggestion of any other places or ideas or whatever. give me some advice people

sell the cd player and get one with a fold out face, or make a double din space to hold the cd player and a din sized motorized screen.

ifeldwn02 did that with his...fiberglassed a screen in where the cd player was and relocated the player to where the ciggy lighter is with a fiber enclosure....if you can ever catch him on-line he might have pics you can see.......

awesome, cause my friend is very handy with fiberglass..I just got my Alpine 9813 for $200 so I'm not about to sell that. and I dont want to spend 500+ on the alpine fold out monitor. Rather just get the monitor and mold it in, plus I think it looks a lot better and a lot cheaper (cicrcuit city employee discount )
