Firing Order Question
I have never had this happen before and I'm new to Honda's. I am working on a 1995 Civic DX with 1.5L L4 Automatic
I replaced the cap, rotor, and sparkplugs. The old plugs were gapped to almost 2.5mm Enough to stack 2 quarters and fit them in. The car calls for 1.1mm gap, I replaced the plugs with NGK's (The same ones listed under the hood on the VECI label.) Now the car will not start. I suspect that I screwed up the firing order and plugged a wire into the wrong place. My questions... What is the firing order of this engine? Which cylinder is the number 1, timing cover side or distributor side of the engine? Thanks, Ty |

That did it! Thanks!
I just kept cranking it over and I had to pump the pedal but it started. Never had to do that on an EFI car. |
