Ball Joint broke!!! sent car crashing down

Saterday my right ball joint snapped like a twig and sent my front end crashing to the ground. Lukily i was only going about 5mph through a parking lot. But anyways, I heard this was a common problem my the guy who towed my car. he said he's had about 3-5 accords on his truck from the same problem. Has anyone out there had there ball joint break??? I'm going to replace the side that broke and the other side. If there is any one out there w/ an accord w/ over 100k I would suggest replacement of front ball joints. I could'nt emagine how bad it would of been @ 80mph.

It was pritty bad. The axil broke out of the transmission, and the wheel just caved-up into the wheel-well almost sideways. I also could not stop & I was only going 5mph.

yeah that is a pretty common problem for the CB7 and the CD5/7 platform. they don't cost a lot but thay are a pain in the ass to replace.
