Brake Drum/Caliper Paint?
Does anyone know of a good paint that I could use on my rear brake drums and front calipers? I want to paint them so that they look nice and wondered if anyone used a particular paint manufacturer with success. I could probably go with Duplicolor brand engine enamel stuff, but just wanted to inquire some more...
Thanks! |

Yeah, thanks. I looked at the Duplicolor Metal Cast stuff online. It seems cool, I just wonder if it's gonna last.
I saw this brake caliper/drum paint imported from Germany at: http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/, but they want $40 for it. I know that's stuff is gonna last and stay nice and shiny, but I don't want to spend that much. So, I may try the Duplicolor, unless somebody has another suggestion??? |

I just used a high temp ceramic paint from autozone.....it's held for over 3 years and no chipping.

Yes - and i just did mine last week - painted red to match my car. I used 8 coats of Plasti-Kote ENGINE ENAMEL - it is designed to resist up to 500 Farenheight |

brake drums just look bad, IMO. I love walking past a civic and seeing all 4 disc with painted calipers. seeing the rear with drums...yucky.
Whats even worse is the APC disc brake simulators! Oh yeah, nobody can tell! |
