Yeah, you make around $40k per year, but you probably have a mortgage payment, credit debt, car payments, insurance, (and heaven help your paycheck if you have kids).

You tend to have less overhead when you're 17, living at home free of charge and making probably somewhere in the neighborhood of $10/hr (as an average).

Shoot, if I were 17 again, I'd be driving an even sweeter ride...:p

Right now I make around 52K but im in sales so you can never cont on nothing until you have it in your hands. Later this year or early next year ill be workig for my buddy when his shop moves into his new 22000 square foot facility in Harrisburg. Ill be a mechanic there but ill be making far less than what im making now. But ill be doing engine swaps and turbos for a living so I think its an even trade. Plus I have all the dyno time I need.

All I can say is that I am not doing right now where my interests lie. But this website is definitely a start. Save every penny waiting to see what mod I am going to buy next! Although it seems my girlfriend gets to it no matter where I hide it. And since it seems everyone is wanting to know thermalfi'd16 life, where are you stationed right now! Only ask because my brother is in the Navy as well and is in N.C. right now.

Being in the service definately has its perks. I was really thinking about joining the navy during my last year of high school with all the recruiters coming and talking. I decided not to but sometimes I'd wish I had.

I not sure his rank. All I know is that he is in the Nuclear Program so I really don't know what his rank is or anything. Sometimes I wish I had gone in, but had some Med. problems. Anyway, it is nice to have you and your knowledge on HS.

I'm living for free, driving the planet audio integra, making about 50k a year, and about to go into the service in Febuary. My car is pretty much going to be redone to go fast instead of hit the bass notes.

Yeah. When I took that ASVAB test recruiters were buggin the heck outta me. The Navy wanted me to be in their Nuclear Engineering program. Sounded interesting, but I'm not real fond of being on the water for months at a time. Almost signed for the Air Force though. Had the papers and everything ready. Almost wish I had. But ah well........

Back on the topic. I'm a Systems Administrator......

Don't feel bad. Nothing wrong with working at the Mart. When I was in high school, I worked at 2 different kmarts during a 2 year span. Its a good job while in school but customers sure did drive me crazy.
