Sh!t happens....
to good people!
I've only been living in my apartment for 2 weeks when this past Saturday my car was broken into, leaving me with no drivers side window! You always hear about these things and think it will never happen to you, but no, it happens! Fortunately nothing was stolen! Not that there is anything of great value inside my car (guess they didn't like my selection of cds, hehe). Everything inside my car is stock so obviously the person who did this didn't do their homework, given it wasn't an accident. It just really sucks because now I have to drive around with cool plastic and duck tape on my car and I have to get in on the passengers side and climb over to the drivers seat. Not to mention I can't see crap out of the plastic. Might as well be driving without my contacts in! Well, just thought I'd share my sucky news with everyone.

Why do you need to get into your car from the passenger side? Isnt the window the only thing broken on the Drivers side?

Yah I was there helpin Erin clean up from this and what not. Talkin to the cops ect. Oh and to answer your question...when you have the window down (or no window at all in this case) on the 99 Eclipse it's just the door...like if you open the door on a Civic with the window down, the part of the door that the window goes up into (I don't know what it's called and this is really hard to explain over the computer) is still there...but on an Eclipse it isn't there. It's just the bottom part of the door. Did that make ANY sense?

I know what your saying. So the tape it taped from the actual door to the roof of the car.

i had my passenger window smashed and they took my sub the bastards and i've still got glass in various places in the car, it sucks. and they also nicked nearly the entire contents of my dashboard which was basically a couple of my gf's cds, a screwdriver, my brand new electric air freshener (that one hurt), and my god damned locking wheel nut, so I had to buy new nuts.
I f**king hate people who damage/steal cars. |

Apparently my insurance doesn't cover it, but I'm going to call them again and hopefully get a different person and see what they have to say. So far I've called one glass replacement place and the estimate they gave me will cost me $277.99, but I found a $10.00 coupon on their website. I have one other place to call yet. It just sucks!
