head unit removal
I have a 96 Accord LX, I was wondering if anyone knows how to take out the head unit so I can replace it. Thanks.

well i would suggest Crutchfield MasterSheets but they arent free anymore. and you can't just buy the sheets.

i'll check my sister car tonight. she has a 97 lx. but usually you just pull off the black ABS plastic trim piece around it. then you just have a couple of screws. if this doesn't work, i'll update this tonight.

1.- pop out grey plastic piece that is in the compartment below armrest.
2. remove screws 3.- remove cupholder tray. 4. remove screws. 5. slide the entire armrest section back, and take it off. 6- remove the 3 screws that you see, right behind stick. 7- remove ashtray 8- remove all the screws that secure that big black trim piece.. 9- then you should be able to pop it out. It really isnt that heard, just make sure you remove all the screws that secure the pieces.. good luck!
