external HD

I just wondered if anyone has experience with external hard drives...i just ordered a 120 gig for $120....looking for pros and cons

for future reference.. you can make any hard drive external. you can buy kits for 3.5 internal drives that mount around the internal drive. most of them are either usb or firewire. personally i'd go for firewire or usb 2.0 only. usb 1.1 is WAY too slow.

you got a good price on that if it truly is external. most of them come at quite a premium even though its just a box and a little extra circuitry.

yea it's 2.0 and comes with the mounting box
