New Guy. Question about b18a
I've got a friend that'll sell me a complete B18A1 swap w/ auto tranny. I plan on selling the auto tranny and getting b18 cable tranny.
Is the R/S different on a b18a than on a b18c? and if so, would changing the b18a head to a b18c head change that? thanks. |

Thanks for info. What do you mean cable tranny crap?
Why does everyone say that the B18A r/s sucks and the b18c is so much better? they're almost identical. |

What kind of cost difference would there be between cable and hydro? i have a cable tranny in the car right now and i like it. not dissing hydro or anything, just that im a broke high-school kid. i almost pissed myself when my friend said that he had a b18a1 full swap for 1k
btw, is there a way to watch topics that you responded to? |

you have a hydro in your 95 unless you did a conversion
responded topics can be watched - emailed to you - when a new response is posted...check the control panel at the top of the page. |

That'd be smart
You can find a B18B tranny (hydro) from a 94+ integra ls/gs easy for pretty cheap...if you like long gears. Just remember that ALL Bseries trannies bolt to ALL Bseries engines...and they all have different length gearing - long->short gearing B18a/b->B18cGSR->B16/B18cITR I have the basic ex D16y8 w/ crappy ihe mods...but thats what you get when you have lots of other expenses. I am working toward a b18b turbo w/ gsr tranny, though. Also, if I can find the time and money...I'll mod the gsr tranny for an ls 5th set so I can just cruise the highway @ 2-2.5K instead of 3.5-4K. (I just keep buying other things...) |

lol, yeah, money sucks. never have enough. i want a tranny with mild gearing, so probably something like a b18c. dont want short gears because i drive about 60-95 miles a day depending on what days i work, but i dont want them long because that defeats my purpose of going fast. i want a tranny with a 6th gear. wonder if i could find a place to do that, find a b16 or b18c and have a 6th gear added.

there is a company that does that...though I forget the name of it now
You could always drop a k20a itr in w/ standard 6speed lsd tranny...that'd be around $7K though ...but awesome |
