Valentine 1?
What up. Hey, I stumbled on to this radar detector and it cost more than any other one I have seen. Anyone heard of this? Opinions? I was at Best Buy yesterday and this gurl was trying to buy one and the best buy rep. said it was pointless to buy because most Law Enforcement have equip to block it out. I was curious to know about the Valentine 1 though...

Valentine 1 is flat-out the best radar detector on the market. And the price relects it. It has tons of options for detecting just about every method the cops have for catching you speeding aside from airplanes (my dad got busted by one of those once). And Valentine 1 tells you not only that there is radar, but also where it is. Plus, it has a longer range than a lot of detectors on the market. They are damn expensive, but I am still thinking about getting one.

Can cops detect that you are using one?

Yes, there are new methods out besides VG2. Anyway, the Passport 8500 will give a V1 a run for its money, but lacks the directional arrows. I was going to buy one recently but decided to save my money.

I looked up a bunch of testimonials of people who have both. And actually, I think Valentine 1 is still doing a deal where they send you both their detector and the 8500 and you just send back the one you don't like for a refund. But most people sent back the 8500 in favor of the V1. You may want to see if they are still doing that deal or not, that would be a good way to see which is better.

i heard about some thing that actually blocks out the radar and stops it from being sent back to the cop. But that could be all bullshit, but it would be nice to have
