They should be perfectly legal. They come stock on some cars, though those aren't as bright.

I'd think they would be ok too, but if you're in doubt, just check with a local law enforcement agency.

The only legal issue would be this:
If your gauges were blue (or appeared to be blue to the cop) and could somehow be seen from the front of the car (ie, reflection off of your (or a passenger's) glasses, interior, etc.) then you might run into some legal trouble. But that is like 1/100000000 chance of that happening, so I wouldn't worry about it.
