Acura radio code help! L@@K
My grandparents have a '97 Acura 3.5RL. Well, they replaced the battery but managed to lose their security code. I looked all over car (door sills, trunk, engine bay, glove box, you name, we looked there) and didn't find any kind of code. Well, the dealership wants $110 to pull out the radio and get a serial # off of it.
So, is there any way to look up the code with the VIN? Can anybody help? -Ducky

I know you can call acura and they will get the information for you. Probably gonna take a while. Sorry can't give you more information. OR you can just upgrade and get an aftermarket head unit!!

.....STUMPED.......
never heard of this problem. but cant you change the code. if you do change it dont you have to get a new one or reset it to the manufacture code? Acura/Honda dealers are the only people can find out. right? this all came from replacing the battery?

Yup, and in the owners manual they tell you to keep your code, but they don't have it printed. It sucks. I know a kid who works at Honda, and he can get the code, but I need the serial# from behind the radio, and I am not going to pull the navigation system.
