mafia!

anyone playing mafia? omg... its the best game... sooo much better than gta3. im stuck on the second whiskey mission right now... i get down to 5 life and get shot on the bottom level... or sam keeps dieing.

plot of the game:

you are telling your story to a cop because you want out of the mafia. you basicaly act out the last 8 years of your life. you do all sorts of random missions for don saliari from racing a car... to importing whiskey. i must say... this game got me hooked more than any computer game lately (diablo 2 excluded) i give it 4.5 stars.... beware.. it sometimes lags up on my 2.4gHz 256mb DDR ram(266mhz) i'd recommend 512ram+

The graphics are killer... you need a pretty high end machine if you want to crank them up.

Also, even if you legitly buy the game like I did, a NOCD crack makes it run faster.

You dont think a 64M Radeon DDR card would run okay on a 1.9GHz P4 with 256M of RAM?

Is that the Radeon 8500? It will work ok, but it would be nicer to have a top of the line card. Your CPU is fine, RAM might be lacking. It will still run though.

I downloaded the Demo last night and played it for a little bit. It seems like a really sweet game. The graphics rock! Im going to play the Demo some more and see how that goes.

One thing in the Demo that was pissing me off is the fact that you have to pick the lock to get into a car of a passer-by on the street. Even after I shot out the windows! WTF is that all about. Any smart person would just reach into the car and open the door..

well.. its more real than in gta where every car was left open. the missions its kinda cool... you have to learn how to pick all the different types of cars. speaking of which... i need to go finish mission 16...

Dont get me wrong, the picking the lock part is a great idea.. You just shouldnt have to do it all the time..

Besides.. I think they should have added the pick lock thing into GTA.. A good auto thief should be able to break into a locked car..
