Resident Evil: Apocalypse
Straight and to the point:
If you are even a mild fan of Resident Evil... If you have played at least 2 games... If you give a damn about keeping storylines in check... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, EFFORT, GAS, ETC ETC ETC. This was BY FAR the WORST movie from a game genre EVER! They destroy the storyline. They defame characters. They make up NEW characters and attach them to old. They're into the super-powered matrix bs. They dont follow the general rules of f**king physics (even for bio monstrosities). They dont give a damn about Resident Evil fan base. The ONLY positive thing I have to say about this festering pile of rotting meat is that they put some original RE atmosphere in it w/ 2 10second scenes. If there werent so many people in the theater to walk past, I wouldnt have even stayed for the whole showing. (the first 10-15 mintues is good...then it falls straight down the toilet faster than you can say "Jill see if you can find any other clues") |

yeah, it came out today.
Oh, I forgot. They thought it'd be cool to add a token black "gangsta/pimp" into the mix for comic releif. He was funny...maybe twice. Then he pissed me off. Can you say Jar-Jar Binx? |

Is it worse then House Of the Dead or whatever that sega dreamcast game was? That was so bad it had clips of the game in the movie.

Well, where the first movie is slow, it at least has a point - the hive. And it doesnt destroy the franchise where this one does.
The more I think about it the more I realize they rewrote...for the sake of money. I hate sony pictures now. edit*** If anyone wants to know specific reasons why this movie is shit check my h-t response to those defending it. http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=964637 Spoilers are there...so dont search out my post if youre going to see it (I have 2 posts on it...look for the 2nd to last post on the page) |

Man...you know what...I actually liked that movie. In a movie critic sense, it may be on of the worst movies I've ever seen. But how can you argue with so much obviously senseless violence. And violence is what makes movies cool (unless your name is Tipper Gore). Studies show that 95% of all cool movies have a decent amount of sex and/or violence in them...and you can't argue with science. Even if it's a science I just invented. As for RE2...I kinda liked the first one and will probably see the 2nd...I will just most likely not pay to see it.

Ok I'm a complete fan of the RE games and Well I just saw the movie. I know they pretty much didn't follow any of the story line from the games, and I have played most all resident evils except for Code Veronica. But I try not to look at that. I'm no movie critic. But yeah. It was good. Nemisis could have looked a little better IMHO! and he should have just killed everybody. Not went sissy and felt something for a girl. haha

But didn't they set that up at the end of the last one? That dude she was pretend married to and (of course) starts to have feelings for got bit and they threw him into the Nemesis program.

Yeah that was the guy... Scratched by the super-mutated licker and was put into the "project"
Derek man, you should play recv. Its got a really nice sideline story to RE. Explains how Umbrella was started. Introduces a new twist on Chris and Clare. Explains the ultimate virus. Return of Wesker. Awesome, awesome game. (Alice's end powers and the gun/helicopter shooting scenes were both taken from RECV) I still say the movie sucked though... Even if you take out the fact that the story ripped off and defaced the original, true, RE story, it was too much like everything else thats out there now (what w/ the matrix fighting, super-chicks, and teen-action-orientation) |
