Wondering if anyone competes???

Just seeing if anyone on the board's cars are set up for competition: Db Drag, Usaci, IASCA or MECA. I'm getting the components of my system ready and am wondering if more people here go for SQ or SPL...

Yeah, I DEFINITELY want to do both, but if you're going for major SPL, you sacrafice creativity most of the time. There are a few WR holders with immaculate installs, but I want the 'Line to be fast...so SQ is gonna be it for me with a 1 sub setup to give most bassheads a run for thier money. Anyway, sound quality is where they judge on EVERYTHING...and I'm somewhat of a perfectionist, everything has to be in minute detail, so it just sems right. And anyways, you just don't see many SPL only setups utilizing fiberglass and other technoques...which is the MAIN reason I got into this industry. I just don't want to be a one note wonder to be outhit in a few weekends.

I've done both, but don't have much time any more. I've done Iasca street pro 601+ and ultimate pro 601+. Iasca is a tough gig, at least the guy in my area made it tough. Install is EVERYTHING in SQ, the sound is important but most points are given for install. IASCA truely rates an installer on form, style and finesse, iDbl is just who can make the most air move, that's it. I did few iDbl super street 1-2 comps then just decided it wasn't for me. I don't like having a one note wonder.
