Headlight questions - please read

Hey guys,

I gotta couple quick questions bout headlights:

1) Is it illegal to clear out the headlamp corners (though mine are one piece) and not to have an orange bulb for a turn signal?

2) I've seen many different bulb companie's out there claiming all this HID stuff. I don't have $700 for the HID conversion kit. But I'm looking for something along those lines, just much cheaper. But I don't want CHEAP. I want quality. I've seen my friend's Civic and she's got the bulbs with the bluish tint, but I don't remember the brand. What are the good brands out there to buy that simulate (I guess thats the word to use) the HID effect?

3) Is there corner bulbs to match the headlamps?

Thanks guys!

To answer your first question, yes it is illegal to not have amber or red signals, but I've never been pulled over for it. In fact, I've been pulled over for other stuff (no license plate, etc.) and never had it mentioned that I have all clear lights and hyper white signals. It depends on where you live.

1. From what I have been told and have heard it is not illegal to have clear turn signals. That counts for hyper white also. But then agian Im not a cop.
It is illegal to have any thing that is not white or amber. and red is only allowed in the rear

2. Try Xenon or PIAA. although most are the same just make sure that the ones you get are filled with partly xenon gas, this will give you the better look. Dont go for the diamond blue or the ones with tinted glass only-they tend to look cheap. Also stay away from anyhting that says "rainbow effect" those are gay(IMO).

3. Of course!!!!!!! Look around the same place that you buy your headlights they will most likely have the corners too. Try and get the same brand so that they match, its looks the best.

Yes you can find bulbs for the corners to match your head lights.

If you wanted to spend about 350 you can normally find HID kits on like www.groupsbuys.com or on www.thepartstrader.com

If not the Xenon or Piaa would be ther next best bet.

For clearing the Amber Im not sure on that as I think laws as everything differ from state to state. I have blue corners in mine w/ Blue bulbs and haven;t had any problems w/ cops. I guess also it will depend on how much cruising you do etc to be seen w/ the mod...

Hoep this might help additionally...

Technically you are supposed to have a amber reflector for your turn signal things along with the amber bulbs. But most cops wont say anything about the Reflectors as long as you do aleast have an amber bulb.

Piaa are the best bulb IMO. They seemed to last the longest and look great. I really like the Hyperwhite lights cause it makes everything look so much clearer.
