shaving body~no, not mine, my ludes :-)
i'm getting ready to shave the windshield squirters and emblems off my prelude today. i don't really have the money to get a paintjob right now, so i'm just gonna leave it primered black, which kinda sucks, but my car's black so it won't stand out TOO much, at least not as much as if it were white for instance. i really like the way that shaved cars/trucks look...does anyone else have this done? do u think it'll make a big difference in the look of my lude??

I don't have anything shaved yet, but I do like the look. Your lude should look sweet as h*ll with that done to it.

your just doing the wiper nozzles and the emblems ???
no handles, gas tanks, trunks, hoods ????? Seems like a rather small step to me I would wait till I had enough to do the handles and gas tank. how long will you have to ride around Primed ??? I'm not coming down on you... You should DEFINATLY do it, especially if your going for show, but I think I would wait ...

well we barely got the nozzles done yesterday. it took us forever cause we ended up sanding the whole hood down. it actually doesn't look too bad. so right now the whole hood is primered black. kinda gives it the cf hood look well not really. yup, i will also be doing the handles, but not just quite at this time. i'll also be shaving the trunk, like the license plate. i've seen it done, it looks pretty sweet. but i dunno about doing the gas tank, how does that work if you shave it? maybe that's a stupid question but i mean if it's shaved, how do u put gas in?? but ya there's still several things i wanna shave. i'll probably ride around primered for a while...but it's cool considering i only ride around with minitruckers...they're always primered, it's almost a must in the minitruckin world..hehe. all u gotta do is slap a "under construction" sticker and everyone understands..LOL

yea I think the coolest thing I ever saw was a Hooked up Mazda , nice paint job and nice rims, but it had it's fender bashed in, I guess he hit something , and he put an "Ouch" sticker right on the banged up spot, I give him props.
Shaving the Gas tank is a little tricky, you have to rerout your fill up nozzle somewhere, the only place i've seen it done is in the rear wheel well. So If your going get them air cyclinder, it's would be pretty tight, just yank up the rear, and start pumping. my friends Brother has a nice mini with that little trick done. How are you going shave the License Plate, that a pretty big gap right ??? you going weld it ?? Give us the scoop on that , and post up some pictures.

well once you are done it will make a big diff in teh lok of your ride and give it a smoother lok over all and make the body lines roll nicer around the car.
I'm going to get my sides/rear door handles done on my Sedan and I can't wait to do it.....Good luck and do share some pics of it.. |

yup, i will post pics when i get the license stuff done, but i don't know when that will be cause that requires so much more work. we'll have to weld on a pretty big metal plate to fill in the gap and then do the whole trunk. that's probably the next part i'll do is the trunk, cause i can do everything at the same time (emblems, license plate). i'm gonna take a pic of my lude's hood how looks right now so u can tell me if it looks too ghetto. hehe. hopefully by monday.
and thanks guys for the support |
