Door speakers rattle....need advice
Hey guys I was just wondering i've got a 2001 Civic LX and i'm looking to get a sound system in it. I don't like where the front speakers are mounted in the door and they rattle a good amount. I don't have a CD player yet, but i am getting one very soon. does anybody know if the CD player will help cut down on the rattling? i don't think so, and i was gunna get new speakers aswell. will the high quality new speakers help with teh rattling on the doors or am i pretty much screwed b/c of the way they put the speakers in the civics?? plz help, THANKS!

It really depends on what's rattling. Is the speaker blown? Is the door rattling from the bass? Is the speaker touching the grille when the bass hits? U gotta figure that out. If it's the speaker, replace it. If it's the door, line it with dynamat (might work but not always). If you wanna be stylish and just do that thang, get kick pods and new speakers.

The CD player is not what's causing the rattle.
Like 93 said, find what's rattling. Then secure it down. If its a blown speaker, replace it.
