Maybe picking up a new project tonight.
I will need a second car here in the next couple of months because my girlfriend is moving here. A friend of ours is selling a Del Sol S that I'm probably going to pickup tonight. It needs some love..
It's almost hideous really. Someone put a bass boat flake clear coat on it, and it's peeling off. It also has a silver racing stripe on it. I'm not sure whats done to the suspension yet. The guy I'm buying it from said he thinks they maybe heated coils, but isn't sure. It was like that when he got the car. The ride wasn't awful, but not to my liking. He picked it up in a trade and is selling it to buy parts for his Evo. It does have a newer VTEC d16 swap in it which seemed to run REALLY well. It pulled well all the way to red line. The exhaust is annoying and will most likely get replaced, and it will probably be getting some Tein Basic coilovers. Along with a new paint job when I have the money. I'll post some pics tonight to this hideous steaming pile once I get it home.

Just wait.. Ive decided on painting it flat camo sand color, and getting flat black wheels for it. Yeah its a beater, but oh well. Its something to play with and drive. I'm definitely not making a show car out of it.

Overall it doesn't look too bad (except for that paint job). The front end could definitely use some love and all I can say about that rear end is...only in Ohio.
Oh...and I demand to know who put that shit on the underside of the hood so I may beat them into a coma. I'm assuming it's the same shitdick that used the bass boat paint for the exterior.

The body isn't in awful shape. It's starting to rust on the fenders so I need to take care of that ASAP. I'll pickup a new bumper cover and corner signals when I get some money. Probably get the corners soon. I hate the taillights. I'll keep an eye on ebay for some stockers or something that looks better, but that isn't a priority right now. As for the "graffiti" work, that is on the under side of the removable targa top. Damn fools. Yes, someone needs an ass kicking for that one. I'm pretty sure it was the same person.

You know Jeremy...I just noticed something. Now that you've sold the Exploder are you just incapable of buying a car that isn't as long as I am tall? First that Toyota and now this.

I'd like to have them, but I NEED some of these other parts first. If he still has them after I get some of the parts that I really need I'll probably buy them. I appreciate you letting me know about them though. Quote:
It's a couple of things.. Firstly, small cars are just fun to drive. I like the maneuverability of them and it makes my garage feel bigger when I put them in there to work on them. Also, when you have the smallest car of the bunch, your friends don't want you to drive all of the time. Just doing my part not to waste room on our already over populated roads.

Actually, I was hypothesizing that since you liked men you had no real need for a big back seat.
Yes, small cars can be fun to drive...but cars longer than 6' can be fun too. Although you're right about the friends thing. One nice thing about owning a truck is that it only seats 3 people...and the third one is on the retard seat in the back. Fuck giving people rides.

Not yet.. It's still sitting in the garage waiting for a new distributor. I was going to replace the cap, and rotor button. One of the bolts on the cap was broken off. I tried to remove the other two and those started to back off and snapped as well. So I just ordered a new one, I'm waiting for that to come in. Plus I didn't have tags for it until yesterday. The coilovers should be here wednesday also. I'll be surprised if the bolts come out without a fight. Quote:

Did some work to the steaming pile today.. Wet Sanded it and removed the suspension.
Look mom.. no shocks! Something doesn't look right here... Yup, you guessed it.. The bolt didn't want to come out of the LCA, so I'm replacing it all. Note the fanstastic coils! Is the factory? Nope, thats a moron using a torch to heat the coils. You can't tell by the pic, but even the shock rod is bent on a couple of them. No wonder it handled like shit.
