Tire Sizes

HEY got one small question and shoot me if its stupid
I currently have tires that are 195/65/15
now my question is if I get a tire size of 215/40/17..what is the chance of it rubbing on an 96 accord? and if it does what is the best size for 17" rims
thanks

Probably not, especially with 40s sidewalls. They don't rub on my '98 Accord.

It'll be fine! If the roads you drive on are rough, you can also go with 215/45/17, for a little more rim protection.

ive run both 205/40r17 and 215/45r17 and have not had a problem with either. i have a 99 thats about 3.5'' off the ground and i haven't had any problems until about 3 weeks ago i bent both pass. wheels due to something on the road (i had the 205/45's on the car ) and i hit alot of pot holes when i had the 215/45's and didn't have a problem
