Who has the best system?

This is what I have

3 12 in JL subs
Kicker ZR 360
MB Quart components
Kicker 6 X 9's
Kicker IX 405D pushing components and 6 x 9's
Pioneer DEH8200R-head unit
Dynamat Xtreme sound deadener

Anyone have a better system than me.

Oh yeah, I am working on a fiberglass spare tire well enclosure for my 3 12's.

Not that it matters very much for now..

Are we dealing in the SPL or the SQ field??

Or simply a show your system thread?

In any case, here's what I got:

- Alpine 7863
- JBL Midbass 6.5
- Alpine 1" tweeters (Asian market model)
- Power Acoustik 6 x 9
- JBL 80.2
- Kicker Comp 12's
- Kicker Impulse IX702 (2001 revised model)
- Phoenix Gold 1F CAP

Definately not an SPL setup, but will pound when necessary!

My next setup will be focussed on SQ. But that's not till in 2 years.. Bought the car last year.. 19 year old student.. budget aint massive..

Oh, it does. I'm just upgrading.

Diamond Audio 5 series or A/D/S 3 series separates all around. 3 12" Diamond Audio 5 series or Alumapro Alchemy subs. Zapco Amps.

As for the install, I'm gutting my back seat and putting something in "the likes of which has never been seen by man."

You can quote me on that.

I'm not really upgrading, just redoing my trunk. I have built a fiberglass box for my 3 12's and am working on getting that ready to go in. I still have some work to do to the box to get it where I want. I want my amps flush mounted on the floor with everything looking great.

I have a Kenwood MASK headunit mounted down south with the stock radio (not functioning, but clock still works) still in.

Nonpowered Fosgate Punch 150a (pulled fuse)

2-12 inch Infinity Reference in a bandpass box sitting on the couch in the garage. (Weighed to much.)

Stock 6.5s and 6x9s

Factory mounted tweeters

Even though it costs a butt load of money, its great to have the beats. I personally love my system but I wish I would have gotten a turbo first. Then again, I got the system as soon as I bought the car.

How does that He hit. With your car, I would go with some JL's or kicker subs. They will pound the heck outta your hatch, plus the Jl's have great tight bass and sound quality.

Ya 2000Pimpinex its hits really hard for the low wattage. I am actually looking into something else since I have money now. Have you heard much about Infinity Refrence subs? I could get two 12's for $100 if thats a good deal. And thanks for posting this site on PureHonda.com its way better I think.

I think its worth it for 100. It all depends on what you want. I also think this site is way better than purehonda. I got into trouble posting that there. They gave me a warning.

I hope it does get as big. Us mods will try to take care of the postwhores and encourage them not to do that because it will cause problems. Any site that gets huge will have some bandwith problems. I think with the administrators we have here, the problems will be taken care of quickly so the site never has to be down.

I think if the custom avatars were more easily available there would be less people postwhoring. I think that people actually just posted BS on purehonda.com to get 1000 post and a custom avatar.

WELL THEN, back to the systems:

Lurking within my ride;

2-Kicker S12L7's dual 4 olm voice coils
2-Kicker ZR360's one for each sub
1-Kicker ZR120 for the mids
1-Set of Kicker impulse 3 way 6x9's these puppies rock
1-Set of Kicker R6c's
1-Lighting Audio 1 Frad cap
1-Yellow top Optima deep cycle battery
Custom built enclosure for the subs
All Phoenix Gold wiring

My source unit is a Clarion Cd player im not sure of the model number but i know it has 3 set of pre-amp out puts and produces 4 volts to them and 50x4 w for the speaker outputs.

Other features include a Clarion flip down tv, sony play station 1 and vcr for now, in dash dvd is on the way.

Future plans call for a bigger Alternator something like a 150 or a 200 ampere.

If its too loud your to old.......

civic_minded why dont you just get a Playstation 2 in there. They can play DVDs and everything and then you could play GT3 or somethin in there. That would be a cool setup.

Civic_Minded-lets see some pics of your car with those things in. hehe I bet those 360's hooked to the L7's really pound. Good luck with the setup and I second the idea of putting a playstation 2 in there.

Icon-How is it up there in Sunnyville. I would like to move there sometime within the next couple of years. Your system doesn't have to be "extreme." I had my zr360 hooked to my 3 12's and it hit so hard when turned up that I couldn't sit in the car. It was crazy. Personally, thats too much.

I thought about the new ps2 it would save me some cash in the long run i guess.......as far as what the subs sound like together with the 360's on them, I don't know yet. When I was getting ready to put in the new amp i blew one of the square's. THis sucked big balls...but its going to be replaced for free.....I went ahead and hooked up the one to the 360 and let me tell you oh my ***. Its louder than when i had both of then on the same amp. I cant wait to get the sub back.....Im thinking its going to be in the upper 140's to lower 150's somewhere in that range......I'll keep yall up on it......

2000Pimpinex: as for me being just a kid sunnyvale would be a great place to start a family. its safe, diverse people, and close but not too close to san fransico/san jose.

the down sides are not a whole lot to do and things here are expensive.

PS2 in the car is tough to make work.

I have a firend with a PS2 in his CL, and it skips like you wouldn't believe. If you mounted it with skip protection, it would probably work a lot better. Somebody get creative- I'd like to see it.

Eclipse 7002 Flipout DVD/CD

Eclipse 5083 8 Disc CD changer

USAmps 100x

Focal Utopia 136w componets

USAmps USA-2000 (2000 watts RMS)

2 DD 9012s ( http://www.ddaudio.com ) 1000watts RMS a sub

tuned to 20 Hz for that DEEP bass

Not to much extra weight because I am romving my backseats and spare tire.

Also 3 Optima yellow tops in the back completely seperate power supply... thats all I need is voltage problems under the hood
