This forum is dead, so....

I've decided to get my car repainted. This is the current color:

It will still be green but somewhat lighter like mustang green (not forest green).... or black. I figure that this is the best time to do it since the motor is out. I will completely strip out the interior and get a roll cage put in usaing chromoly material. Then i will go ahead repaint the interior black myself. I really dont want to take the dash out but I plan to remove all the panels. There will be no back seat. and carpeting until I get the interior paint job complete.

This is going to be a long ass process since I'm still working on my motor. I just cant stand freezing my ass while working on the car. Shutting the garage door doesnt cut it cuz it gets really dark inside my garage....lol

holy shit arnel, you better call up honda tuning when you get done with this thing. Black would look nice. Is it just me or does that teggy seem fcukin low? You'd be missing your whole front end if you drove that on the roads up here:o

your car looks great, but the pictures you took are very pro also. I would have never thought to drive the car into a wide shallow puddle. Gives it a really cool effect, with the reflection and all. I trust the effect is not photoshopped?

and is it just me or is there something wrong with your front bumper/hood alignment? the spacing between the bumper and hood looks a little off. But that's sooo minor for such a sexy lookin car.

lol... the picture is not photoshopped. A friend of mine took those pics a while back and he is not really a pro, just a decent camera. The front end is is low but not slammed... actually, on those pictures, it was raised up an inch. You all should've seen it when I first bought it. A tennis ball barely cleared when i drove over it.

The front is aligned okay. The OEM style CF hood also makes it look like that. The front bumper paint is actuallyp a little darker. Another reason why I want the whole car painted.

Those are Rota slips not Spoon... I cant afford the Spoon version ha ha... plus it came with the car.

The side markers are not clear anymore. I replaced those with genuine CTR ambers.

Fuckin Tan interior just blows. I will probably start taking the panels off tomorrow unless my AEBS head studs come in and I'll be continuing putting the motor together..... more pics to come!

I feel ya. My car originally had tan interior until the previous owner / slash / dumbass attempted to paint it white. Just for fun, I found this pic a day or two ago on a disc...

This was during the process of tearing that bish up and puttin the black interior in.

Edit: Thanks, Steve..n

I did replace the carpet. I basically replaced everything inside the car (platic panels, dash, console, seats, deck carpet and even the roofing carpet). I posted a few pics of the interior before/after months back. I ended up with the JDM db8 carpet..

I haven't really gotten into the condition of my car upon purchase..I'll post that story in a month or so when I post pics of my car.

Ben, I reformatted my computer so I don't have any pics left. My new computer also doesn't so I'll have my BF snap a carpet pic tomorrow..just..for..you! haha.

I really don't know anything about paint. The guys that had the car was the one who did the entire paint job so instead of fxcking with it, I just purchased a new, BLACK, dash. Removing the dash didn't seem hard at first..but I actually struggled in between. The center bolt was stripped in so none of the tools I had could have pulled it out. I ended up prying it out with a flat head and lots of jabbing..and a qtip with oil.

Minus my little issue, it was smooth.

Ben, here ya go. Here's a pic of the new carpet in the same spot as seen in the other photo. We've been messing with the car so much these past few months..so the carpet just needs a little vacuuming.

The car is slowly getting gutted again and having some stuff replaced. The JDM ITR shift console isn't there because it doesn't fit properly. The JDM one steers to the left while the USDM steers to the right (go figure) but I still wonder why people purchase it if it doesn't fit. I think I am just gonna sell it and get a USDM ITR one.

Maybe I'm just retarded and can't seem to do it right. Ideas would be helpful.

Here's a pic of the driver's vent also. It doesn't fit the way it should, so I'm taking that out when I go home for spring break.

Here's a photo to give you a little idea of my change over from shitty white to black interior.

JDM DB8 door panel.

My boyfriend took these pics this morning and sent them to me (since the car is back at home). He said the passanger's door panel is loosening up a little on the right side..the clothe-ish piece is not as sturdy as it used to be.

Just made a few calls..I guess I am gonna sell all four door panels and purchase entire JDM DB8 doors with panels and new glass. The body has a few dings here and there anyway..so I might as well perfect it before I settle on a paint job.

So, who wants to buy these door panels?
