what r ur drag times times
What kind of times do u guys run in the quarter mile N/A and times with power adders (such as nitrous, turbo, or supercharger) I ran a 16.1 at 85 normally aspirated and 14.7 at 95 with a 50 shot of nitrous on stock tires and and an automatic transmission and all the basic bolt on's and an upgraded fuel system. The motor is the SOHC F22 Non v- tec and nothing done inside.

well dude i have no clue. the only time i tested my car was with a g-tech pro, and it constantly gave me 15.1-15.5secs. i know that is innacurate for a stoker, with just a cai and suspension.

A family car looks unsuspecting ppl will think it slow and talk shit and then u blow there doors off. Only if u got a good set up under the hood though. I was going for looks at first but around were I live how ur car looks doesn't mean sh*t so i went for speed. I know 14.7 isn't that fast but it is quickeir than alot of cars at the track. Next race season i am hoping to have a 380 hp prelude motor in my car and I should run high11's or low 12's. The only way I will be able to acheive this goal is becuz my accord does not have any interior at all (except the dash board and the ceiling panel) there is no door panels, no carpet, no glove box, no seats, no airconditioning, no cruise controll and any thing else that is not needed. That is how I go fast. Any questions?

Damn man, you fully stripped your car so you can run low 16's? Doesn't that suck as a daily driver now?

no it doesn't suck and to I don't normally race with out using nitrous unless my bottle is empty. my car weighs around 2600 pounds. I don't know what a stock accord weighs but I'm sure it's over 3,000 lbs. Weight reduction is free horsepower thats the way I think

Good lord. You stripped 400-500 lbs from your Accord That would make it a lot more fun to drive.

the accord is usually 2800-3000. i know that i weighted mine and it's under 2800 with full interior, and a shitload of crap in my trunk.

Im gonna rebuild the entire motor so that it can handle a 150 shot. The only part that i'm worried about is the transmission. I will prolly have to get a phantom grip or an lsd so the differential does not breack into a million peices and leave me walking

finally another accord owner who wants to go fast! whoo hoo! im doing the h22 thing too. but ill be turbocharging after i build the bottom end. what you said about an unassuming family car....yeah im wit you. oh, i can't wait. i dont even have the engine yet, but it will probably come in 2 months. will an lsd really help keep tranny strong? i thought it only transfered the power in a more useful manner. accords, whoo hoo!

Yea the the lsd will help it will be stronger than and help preserve the spider gears from blowing up and out of the tranny don't for get about a really good clutch too. the phatom grip will also work to. I would recomend the clutch masters stage 3 clutch and a fidenza 9lb fly wheel thats what I'm going with How much power do you think your motor will put out when your done and what kind of times do u put down with the f22 if u race

i havent raced my car yet. im too embarrased ill do it before i get my engine though. its always nice to see how much you actually improve.
as for how much hp ill have, wow, it depends what i want to do down the road. for sure it will have over 300 with turbo and other basic mods. as of right now i want more than that (of course) but who knows what will come in the future? but id say around 400 at the crank is my goal....what kind of times do you think that would bring, given a beefed up tranny and slicks? im thinkin low 12? is that accurate? i wish i could compare to somebody else, but nobody drags accords! |

It depends on how much ur car weighs and if you u have any traction problems. Right now my car weighs 2660 and is putting out like 215hp at the cranck and I'm running 14's..
This past sunday I ran a 14.59 at 95mph. For those of you that don't know I have headers, a test pipe, exhaust, cai, fuel pump, fuel rail, an adjustable FPR, and a 50 shot of nitrous. Not much put into the motor I just keep maintenced and sh*t |
