Anti theft crap
My girlfriend has a 98 Accord EX with an anti theft system, but she has no remote. The other night we got in the car and when she cranked it up the horn started honking and the lights flashed. Now every time she cranks the car this happens. We took the fuse for the horn out and the lights won't blink if they are turned on. When she parks it and turns it off, the lights still flash for a few minutes and then it eventually stops. I had the bright idea of disconnecting the battery for about 45 minutes to reset it and now her cd player requires a code. She tried punching in several and now she is locked out. If anyone can help with these problems, please do!!!!!!!!

contact your dealership. They will ask you for the VIN and proper paperwork to get the code from them

if its stock, ask the dealership woiuld be my best guess. i really dont know how to work alarms without the remote. there might be a shutoff switch somewhere, but thats only on some alarms

The only way you could stop that whole bullshit is to removet that stock radio. Honda fucked up on civics and accord models on that subject from 96-98. They integrated the radio and stock theft device together. Your other route is to get an aftermarket radio with a custom harness. My buddy had to do that on his 96 civic EX.
