What I don't get is www.maaco.com ...their TV commercials say they have lifetime warranty for their paint and it's ~600-700 bucks to paint a whole car....Canadian dollas too...what's up with that?!?!?!

Maaco paint jobs are straight ass. They don't properly prep the car, etc. I would rather have old stock paint than a new job from a quick paint place like that.

well i dont know about prices but when i crashed my integra in october i messed up my hood and fender...the owner of the body shop in my fathers parking lot told me when I bought the new hood and fender to let him know and he would paint it for me for free...he said b/c black is the cheapest color...plus he's really cool with my dad so thats a plus... ...if u lived in NY i'd try to get u a better price...their body shop does crazy paint jobs...

macco's paint jobs act differently on different cars.....i had a frind who had a 92 firebird and he got it painted fire engine red......now it's orange.......as stated before they dont properly prep cars...and that clear coat is an option........

Paint jobs ARE expensive, but if you can find someone who does a good job, it's totally worth it.
Luckily, my dad owns a shop & does award winning paint jobs. He does my paint for free! |

I had my Plymouth Laser painted there it was red but the paint was all faded and i got it done a metallic black and it kinda didnt loo bad but after a coule months i put a flashlight up to the front bumper and u could see where i had got some rock chips and u could seee red paint..
There is a shop about a couple miles away from me that charged 800$ to paint my integra and Macco charged the same and this shop did one hell of a job and they also put my body kit on too. one of the best paint jobs i have ever had and the cheapest. they did my whole car Acura Red and did my kit and put it on for $1200 |
