ok...im pissed...popups
alright, now its official war. I just ran into yet another variant of the new breed of popups. I'm sure you've seen these before, they were even on hstuners. Remember that really bad ebay motors ad that popped out of the side of your screen? well i've got one thats worse:
I go to this site (not porn): http://qeradiant.com/?data=files and out comes this HUGE graphic (not in a window, standalone) for soul caliber 2. I'm sure it had sound too, and it was all sorts of animated. As i'm looking around for the x i realize THERE ISNT ONE! Just when im about to give it the three fingered salute (after i already gave it the one fingered salute) it goes away as quickly as it came. This is obviously a timed advertisement. You cant shut it down until its makers have decided that youve seen it long enough, and then THEY decide that its ready to close. uh-uh. no. Now they've gone too far. its war. yes, i am aware of pop up blockers and all of the wonderful software im sure most of you use., but it shouldnt be necessary. |

I agree. Its complete bullshit, but we can't do anything about it besides not visit the site or use a popup blocker. Try alt-F4 if it pops up in a new window though.

hrmm...maybe you got a different ad, or maybe i'm just not 1337 enough to kill it quick. Most of those popups have some sort of 'close window' button, but i've encountered a few that don't. How did you kill it in less than one sec? alt f4?
