Gauge idea
Ok, seeing the gauges don't read correctly when you do a swap, i was wondering. Tell me what you think, i was thinkin about replacing the whole gauge cluster completely with a custom enclosure and get an autometer speedometer and tach. These would read correctly right? Is there a gauge that accurately reads how much gas i have left, and also one that would show if i was overheating? Also would it be possible to rewire all the important things like check engine light, and low fuel light etc. to a different area on the dash? Any input would be great. Thanks

of course you could replace all your gauges with autometer ones, and yes there are fuel gauges on the market you could use, and yes in that case you could put them wherever you want. but most likely anything by a needle is going to be off somewhat, go with a HUD if you want precision

yeah it would be cool to do somethin like that.....however is it legal to do away with the stock cluster? seems like it should be as long as you have the correct gauges and everything. but yeah man if you end up goin through post some pics of it in the process! gl

Yea i was thinkin it might be illegal, so i might make one that goes over the stock gauge cluster, so it can be removed for inspection. It won't be for a while, im gettin the car next week, and the swap will prolly be within the next 2 months, but i'll keep you all informed and post pics a.s.a.p. Peace
