Well that's for sure. I don't know that a move would be a bad idea, but I think just throwing in the towel is a bit much. Every time the board ever slowed down people started throwing around bad ideas, but no one ever came up with any real solutions. In fact, a move would be the first reasonable one I've heard, even if it is a pretty big step. Maybe if we could figure out what drew people here back when the site was more active we could try and duplicate that. I mean, I know why I'm here, but I'm sure it's much different than why most people climbed on board.

i have a friend who created a board jdmcity.com for a school project. it has about 20 active daily members so its not that bad. plus most of them i know personally and hang out with. i think you guys should check the board out and consider moving to it. i talked to handa the site admin. he is willing to transfer the tech articles and your accounts. if you guys prefer a little more commotion. just thought, dont ban me!

My comment might be extreem but I've found it calls people to action. We can make this board better, but it's going going to happen with 4 regular posters, two of which are complete tools when it comes to business/pratical discussions.

Dude...your options in that poll weren't fair. The original options were something like (to paraphrase) "yes", "wait 6 months", and "No. I like visiting a dead board". The third option implies whomever is voting for it is not too bright. That's why I changed it the first time.

I've been part of some of the bigger mega car sites. I used to be pretty active on corral.net until it became way too hectic and the voices of the stupid drowned out the voice of the rational (as they almost always do). It's got nothing to do with not being a "big fish" (am I even one here?)...it's that I'm not a fan of massive sites.

Ok. So I'm a tool. Who cares? I've never made an arument to the contrary. But then again considering the source, I may consider that a compliment. If pointing out your flawed thinking makes me a tool, then yes, I am a huge tool. I'm not sure about Stefan...you'd have to ask him. But he's Romanian so chances are good.

One key thing I think people are forgetting is that the demographic of this site is primarily younger males. Most of us tend not to be really well established in life just yet so it's no big surprise that a lot of the people have moved on. Whether it's selling their cars, focusing on college, or just focusing on building their fucking lives, it's not a shock that turn over is pretty high.

Thanks mang. It's not that I 'left' this place. It's that I had different priorities for a while. But Mr. Holierthenthou seems to think it's his duty to shut the board down. Why? I don't know. I guess when you have nothing better to do, you stick your nose where it doesn't belong. Correct me if I'm wrong or anything but really, i don't think he owns this board or has anything to do with it other then being banned from it twice now. The spam has really cleared up lately. After I got my supermod status back I started banning motherfuckers like crazy...and I know Arnel was doing the same thing. We'll have to wait and see, but for now it looks ok.

I don't post here as much as I should... I've grown out of the Honda game, hell I don't even technically own one anymore since I sold the Civic to a friend. However, I have made a lot of friends on this site and I still can't help but to come back here and see what all of these knuckle heads are up to. We don't have a lot of active members, but the ones that still post here have been around for many years.

So please Robert, do as you want... But don't try to knock the boards down any more then they already are. The spammers can be dealt with. Between the mods it shouldn't be too hard to keep up with their bullshit. What I don't understand is why people were soft deleting spam threads. Soft deleting still leaves a trace of the post. Why not remove it like it never existed and ban the fuckers?

It defaults to leave thread, I'm guess just mods can see it but I could be wrong. I try to go through and physically remove them all when I can.

If you have any ideas or suggestions that would make this place more attractive to new members feel free to throw out ideas. We need a better marketing stradegy. We need something that will attract more users, and then once we get them here, we need something that is going to keep them coming back.

I had a Mustang (well it was a badged with the mustang name plate, but the 4.6Ls just aren't true Mustangs to me.) I'd like to find a decent Fox body LX 5.0 one of these days. I wanted something to pull my trailer for my ATV, and I wanted something 4WD/AWD for winter. Really the Explorer isn't bad. It's way better then the Pre '02 models. My girlfriend said that she wants it when she moves to Ohio at the end of this summer. I told her she can have it because I was going to trade it in one something else. It's comfortable, and it rides nice. But for what I'm getting in gas mileage I'd rather have a V8 sports car.
