Anyone like these Wheels?

First question, does anyone think these'll look good on a 93 HB civic?

.

Second, does anyone know the exact size of the stock wheels on a 93 HB VTi? I know they're 15" and they use 195 tires but i'm not sure what exact width the current alloys are. I'm planning on getting 17x8 in the wheels above, will I have any problem with them being 8 inches wide?

Also, if I get the right size tire and keep the rolloing radius the same, should I not notice any difference in acceleration?

And finally! I'm planning on getting a nice set of coilovers sometime in the summer, is it possible to have a comfortable ride when going over bumps etc, but still have minimum roll and good traction on corners? I really want coilovers so I can adjust ride height etc but I'm worried about having a car that feels like I'm riding on wooden wheels with no tires

As for the wheels, get what you think looks good. They aren't my favorite, but if you like them, get them!

The coilovers will be stiffer, but they can still ride well. People have good success with Ground Control/Koni yellow combo, or spend a little more and get true coilovers.

bigger wheels have to be substancialy lighter than stock wheels to not feel a power loss. even 19lb 17's will be slower than 19lb 15's. if speed is a major goal of yours, and you want 17's.. look into some of the high end racing hart or volk rims.

yeah..you definetly want to get shocks when upgrading the springs and lowering your car.

they will make the car ride smoothly whereas if you didn't get them and lowered the car it definetly would be pretty rough...especially for the lower you go.

sure they look good alone, but once you put them on your car... ugh.

another good point.

you are increasing the rotating mass of your wheel so you will feel a loss in acceleration. in addition you are adding more unsprung weight to your car thus your inertia is increased.

any idea how much those rims weigh?

I think they're pretty damn heavy, i'm not sure tho...

I think I've been looking at 'True' coilovers, well they cost enough anyway. I've seen some which are designed for group N rally, would they just be stupid to buy for a road car!?

nope, they're more like 36lbs!!! oops! i'll check next time.

where can I get some nice lightweight alloys so I can get 17s without loosing acceleration? Or would you suggest sticking with 15s? either way i've gotta get some new wheels cos both my fronts are buckled and it ain't doing my bearings much good!

i would suggest OZ superleggras for a strong, lightwieght 17.

you will probably lose a little acceleration no matter what if you go to 17s unless you spend a hell of a lot of money for a very lightweight forged rim.
but you also get better road grip and control as well as some sweet looks
going to a decent weight 17" rim isn't going to make you slow. you will just loose a little acceleration thats all. its not like if you run a 15.7, you will now run a 17 flat. its not that drastic..but there is a lose.
just throw on some engine mods to make up for it.
i suggest going to 17s and lowering the car....the feel is incredible.
