Hey guys, I need some advice (I'm new)
Hey - I'm new on these forums, but I just recently (3 days ago) bought a Honda Del Sol Si (VTec) in the Pearl Green color w/ a manual tranny.
I like it, but even w/ the VTec, it still isn't fast enough. I've already put on a generic intake kit, (and altezza tailights), but I want to replace the ENTIRE exhaust system, from the Headers down. Can you guys recommend any exhaust kits/systems? I've heard that VTec engines need special headers because they use the backpressure to help the VTec system. Any advice would really be appreciated. - General Dzur |

Eh, no "special" header, just get one that fits your car. DC/Greddy make good headers and there are lots of exhaust companies. You can mix and match header/exhaust brands.
FYI, its VTEC

welcome to HS glad to have you aboard. congrats on the Sol purchase...Have to get some pix taken to post up and share w us.
Yeah not a set type to really get just go for an exhaust that's like 2 1/4 or so and Greddy/DC Sports etc can be a good header exhaust combo to go with.. 4-2-1 will give you good HP through the entire power band...a 4-1 header will give you more mid to high end power, but not much on low end.. Hope this helps and see you around.. |

Yeah, that helps. Thanks. I was talking to some guys at a local "mom & pop" muffler shop, and they were saying to put in a 2 1/4. I'll probably stick with Greddy.
Thanks again for the advice. - General Dzur |

I would get a greddy or apex exhaust system and DC sports headers. It's the best combination. Check import tuner dyno's.

I got the DC Exhaust on my car, I would say go with that also, I really like the way it looks and sounds, all SS The Greddy Sp2 and Evo2 also look like nice catback systems. Also may want to replace cat with resonated test pipe (a poop load of these are on ebay). They will take away a little low end power, but increase high end (whats Hondas are all about anyways)
