Hey, I've had my Civic for almost two years and I've been working from the inside out. The whole inside of the hood has basically been replaced...I am looking to get a body kit and I want to change the color of my car as well. My car is so not worth posting yet...it's that bad on the outside...the suspension needs work...the exterior and some of the interior needs work as well. I can say that the people who owned this car before I bought it did not take no kind of care of this car...so Im just trying to bring out it's potential...
I would like to do some engine work as well...maybe some turbo...I wanna go fast. I am in the military and when I come back from my TDY with phat cash...it's on...you will then see some pictures of my baby...if you have any suggestions to any of the areas I need to work on...feel free to hook me up with some knowledge... |

welcome to HS glad to have you aboard. Alot of people here that can help you on your journey in the customization world...
as stated by SF it will really depend on what you are going to do with your ride....Show and have it flashy..or go and have it get up and begone...lol lol Kits are nice for show along w/ a air suspension or CO setup to slam it for the shows...or built up that motor and throw a SC or turbo on it and let it eat...(along w/ some upgraded axles and fuel system etc) But good luck on what you do and ask any ?'s you may have along the way... |

there is a thin red line between show and race. body kits are show side.

Well..I actually I gon't wanna get flashy...my front bumber is all chipped up and pievces are ripped off so I was trying to fix that...and I would mostly like to do suspension and engine work...make it real fast...and thats about it...I wouldn't mind turbo at all...he he he
So how do you go about getting turbo? |

depends on which companys turbo system you want to purchase.
i would go Greddy. but thats imo. check the internet go to a local import shop in vegas i know they got some. ask them about it. bout the bumper im not trying to tell you shouldnt buy a kit. i think the OEM 2dr bumper looks fine as is. i know yours is a 4 door but the 2 door bumper should fit. but you may need to get 2 door turn lenses. if you chose that option. i got a good how to on how to do that.

I think I'll x-nay on the body kit...rather...just probly buy something nice but not too flashy...I don't want my car to be a thief maganet...but I will keep that 2dr bumper in mind...where would you find something like that at??

Does the 2dr bumber look better than the 4dr bumper or something?

yes, it does. the 4dr has a long air dam. the 2dr has a small one with 2 smaller ones on the side. the ones on the side are covered in with plastic so there not really air dams. in japan the have Fog Lamps that go in there.
if you want a pair the fog lamps for your 2dr bumper get them here: www.asylumms.com . they say 149 but when you click on them to purchase they become 99 bucks.

Hi adrieanne... WELCOME to HST!
Is your car already lowered? That another thing to keep in mind. That is why I normally recommend a drop first before the body kit. Gotta get used of a lowered vehicle first before you put a body kit there, otherwise it will just get tore up.....but since you want to go ahead invest on the perfromance side first, then turbo is the way to go.... you're on the right track...... goodluck and dont forget to visit the civic and turbo forum for more detailed civic info. Peace! |
