h23 is the nonvtec. 160 hp @5800
torque: 156@4500...just turbo your ls motor. think of it this way...$3000 for a h22 swap and get 200 hp or $3000 for a turbo kit and goodies and get 200+ hp! the choice is yours.

Depends on the level of boost. Ask the guys in the turbo forum.

you can buil your ls to an all motor monster, but it will take more $$ for you to do it comapred to a civic with a gsr motor. boost that sucker if you wnt to make some power

hey, you can put the H23 in, but it's really hard to do, expensive and all- if you get the F22 non VTEC it's fits better, you can get one of those from the Preludes starting in 92- and it's cheaper too.

no, it's just SOHC and it's not as good as the H23 so it's probably not worth it for you

the f22's are sohc and make squat for power. plus there is no real gain and the added weight. i know cause i have one under my hood.

Just go with the turbo! You should be able to boost 8 psi on the stock internals. As long as the fuel system can keep up.

actually there are DOHC F22's. dont believe me? hit me up on AIM, ill be more than happy to show you several links proving it.

i say turbo your b18b.
installing an H series isnt really all that difficult at all. a little more work to it than a regular B series, but its not super hard.

yeah, the jdm prelude si's had them, its like a h23 with less tq. and the f22, h22, and h23 have the same mounts, i dont see how one will be harder to install over the other, besides wiring the vtec solinoid wires for the computer. if you want all motor h22, if you want turbo b18 non-vtec or h23. and yes they do make bolt on turbo kits for h23's... at least in preludes. you may(probobly) will have to peice together a intercooler kit for your car and add it to the h23 manifold.
