crx engines

is there a engine i can swap in to a crx with out usein engine mounts and if so what engines

i think there are always clearance issues with any dohc. it doesnt require a new hood, you can just cut out some the metal ribbing on your stock one.

and by your question asking for a n engine requiring "no mounts" I'm assuming you mean no aftermarket mounts. I've heard that you can adapt your stock mounts to fit a b16, but its not recommended. assuming your crx is a 88-91, you can fit a ZC or a 1.5ex vtec in there with the stock mounts, or an Si engine, but that'd be more of a poor mans replacement motor.

any D series motor- anything else would require diff motor mounts
