more than likely its just your iacv that needs cleaning...
Get some tb cleaner, follow whatever the can says (except the one that says 'use entire can'...1/2-3/4 is fine. Then go ahead and remove the iacv itself and give it a good cleaning (be sure to reseat the o-ring properly when putting it back on) |

The jump in RPM can also be from your timing being off. What happens is the if your timing is off, each cylinder does not fire properly causing the car to sound as if the exhaust is miss firing, or a popping noise. Also causing the RPM's to jump.

yea true. well i got a new PCV vavle and cleaned everything. still jump. so i completely check every possible hose so i thought, i found a hound under the intake i had pinched. it wasnt getting air threw it so it jumper. and i replace a PCV vavle, intake and 2 hoses. god what a waste of money.

try burping the coolant via the rad cap
(take off the cap, wrap paper towells around the mouth, and start the car, let run for few mins) That should get any air out of the system...if thats the problem. |
