Hard line oil supply
Why is it that not many people use hard lines for oil supply to the turbo?
Yeah, its a lot of work..but its cleaner looking, cheaper, and just as reliable. I can imagine lots of people think that it would vibrate too much, but DSM's and tons of other factory setups are with hard lines - they have zero problems. I guess the only reason Im making this post is to share... I'll be using hardlines on my setup - Hit up auto parts store and buy a fat brake line, some AN fittings and a spring type pipe bender. You'll all love it when Im done |

I've considered that idea many times. The only way that I would use hard lines is if I use reverse flare fittings and use a lockwire on the nut. It's just easier to get steel braided hoses and normal flare fittings. It's a little tough to get reverse flare fittings to adapt to 1/4 or 1/8 pipe thread.
Remeber bro, the I.D. of the supply line cannot be too wide. Too much oil (volume/pressure) going to your turbo can shorten the life span of your turbo shaft seal. The more oil you supply to the turbo the quicker the oil should drain. Otherwise, you will blow smoke all over the place. Oil supply should be just right...... later bro.... BTW, how's the progress on the LS swap doin? |

No set boost goals, just 3-350whp, reliably. I really have decided on the gt28rs though, and at that power level, it will be near its limit (which is probably best, so I dont just keep boosting too high for the parts).
Since I really dont have the stick-with-it attitude to learn uberdata, I'll be paying out the pooper for hondata |

aww come on you quitter. I'm no expert at uber, but the basic concepts look pretty easy, especially for a smart kid like you. Just gotta discipline yourself to learn it, or find a friend to teach you
